The Family
This painting is in a range between my Sketch A Day category which is defined loosely as a painting that takes between three and five hours to complete and my Painting Projects which is anything that takes more than five hours to complete, It is based on a cell phone photo as so much of my work is. For me it represents the state of my family sometime in the year 2019 which is also the year I began painting in oils once again after a very long layoff. Here we are, wishing the rest of our family and other loved ones could be there with us.
